Are day visitors welcome?
Yes. Day visitors are welcome however must leave the grounds by 6pm.
Are families with children welcome at Pacific Sun Friends?
Absolutely! Holidays are best with all family members. However if you are bringing other people’s children, like cousins, grandchildren or friends; written permission from their parent/s must be presented to the Office.
Are dogs allowed at Pacific Sun Friends?
Yes. For many of us dogs are part of the family. However, given the wildlife on the property your dog must be always on a lead, with the exception at Dog Beach which is situated at the northern end of the grounds. Dogs are NOT allowed in the Amenities or Camp Kitchen Area. Cats are NOT allowed.
Do you have powered sites?
No. We do not have powered sites. We therefore suggest bringing portable solar for your convenience. Generators can be used between 10am and 8pm but not consistently.
Do you have separate areas for clothed and non-clothed guests?
No. We are a clothing optional park that encourages people to be accepting and respectful of people’s choices.
Are campsite fires allowed?
Yes, dependant upon local fire restrictions. Contained fires are allowed. Broken branches & any ground cover can be used for fires however any ground cover next to the creek must NOT be taken.
Can I have a late checkout?
A late checkout can be requested the day prior to departure. If approved then you will have until 1pm on your day of departure.
Do you have a camp kitchen?
Yes. We have a camp kitchen with gas stove tops, a fridge, plates & kitchen utensils. Elsewhere on the grounds you can find two (2) gas BBQ areas under a gazebo for $1 for 18 minutes.
What is the maximum length of time I can stay at Pacific Sun Friends?
We love to have you stay; however, eight (8) consecutive weeks is the maximum length of time you can stay in any one given period.
Do you have toilets and showers?
Yes. We have 2 amenity blocks with toilets and showers. There are separate Ladies & Gents facilities. The showers are currently a cost of $1 for 4 minutes.
What is Elimbah Creek like - can we swim in it?
The grounds are bordered on one side by 2kms of Elimbah Creek. It is tidal and there for your enjoyment, whether it be for swimming, fishing, canoeing or stand-up paddle boarding.
What activities do you have available?
We have Chip-Putt Golf, Bumpy Lawn Bowls, Mini-Ten, Badminton, Darts and Petanque/Bocce Ball. You are welcome to use our equipment free of charge however a $20 holding deposit will be taken/recorded and then refunded on return of the items.
